$[TOTAL RAISED] raised to support Geebung Special School and Aspley Special School!
Geebung RSL proudly brought the community together for its annual Sportspersons Lunch on Friday, 23 October 2026, raising much-needed funds for two wonderful local organisations, Geebung Special School and Aspley Special School.
The event combined a fantastic afternoon of sport, community spirit and fundraising, with all money raised through the live charity auction donated directly to the two schools.
A Fantastic Auction for a Great Cause
One of the highlights of the luncheon was the live charity auction, featuring an impressive collection of sporting memorabilia and exclusive experiences generously contributed to support the cause.
Auction highlights included:
- A framed and signed 2026 Brisbane Lions jersey celebrating the club’s historic three-peat.
- A Western Bulldogs framed jersey signed by Marcus Bontempelli.
- An Adelaide Crows framed jersey signed by Jordan Dawson.
- A luxury overnight escape to Peppers Clear Mountain, including a spa experience.
- An exclusive Suncorp Stadium NRL outdoor box experience for eight guests, complete with food and beverages.
For the first time, supporters could also get involved through online pre-bidding ahead of the luncheon, opening the auction to the wider community and giving everyone an opportunity to contribute.
Supporting Two Wonderful Local Schools
All funds raised through the charity auction were donated to Geebung Special School and Aspley Special School, helping support their ongoing work with local students and families.
Supporting these schools has become an important part of Geebung RSL’s community fundraising efforts, reflecting the club’s longstanding commitment to giving back to the people and organisations that make Brisbane’s northside such a strong community.
